Infrastructure Protection from Natural Disasters

Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) operates in the field of emergency management, providing, among other things, services such as conducting studies, drafting plans, personnel organization, training, and consulting for Public and Private enterprises and organizations. Our goal is to increase the resilience of vulnerable infrastructures and ensure the sound and efficient management of an incident which otherwise could prove detrimental or even catastrophic for a business or an organization.

The applied research projects we undertake are carried out by an interdisciplinary and highly experienced team, as well as by external partners of recognized prestige and professional experience.

Protection against natural and technological risks is of particular importance for all critical infrastructures, given that Greece is an area with intense geodynamic and physical-geographical processes, which result in the manifestation of destructive phenomena with high intensity and significant consequences for human resources, as well as the natural and built environment.

The goal of the research projects is the assessment and analysis of the natural and technological risks that may occur, providing the capability for comprehensive operational planning for their successful management, with the primary objective of minimizing their impacts.
